2018 CWA President’s Letter

Dear Carolinas Wireless Colleagues,

The first event of the year, the Q1 Networking Social in Charleston on March 15th, was a huge success and I am glad we were able to attract so many attendees from both the Carolinas. What a great start to 2018 and it only gets better from here!

We are now in full preparations for our 13th Annual Charity Golf Tournament which will once again be held in Pinehurst on May 17th. As usual, we will have a Networking Social the evening before on May 16th, so plan to attend both! We added a new course this year (#8) and have limited the number of players per course to 108 to speed up the pace of play. These changes, plus the opportunity to play on the world-famous Course #2 will surely make this the best tournament ever. We also hope to once again,(take out comma) support Victory Junction with a sizable donation. Therefore, we have included an opportunity to donate to this outstanding charity parnter via the Golf Registration site, which is now open. You can find that and available sponsorships, some new, by clicking here. Do not delay though, because we are almost sold out. We will finish the year with our 3rd Quarter Educational Event and our Annual Holiday Social. Stay tuned for more information regarding both.

Hopefully, you all received the “Call to Get Involved” survey sent out to gather information about our events and interest in participation on CWA Committees. The response was better than we expected, but if you did not receive the survey, click here. We will conitnue to gather information until the end of April and then contact interested members regarding how to get involved. One thing we have already learned from the survey is many people believe you have to be a member of the CWA to attend our events. While we do want to increase our membership, anyone in the industry can attend any of our events so please take every opportunity to encourage your colleagues to join us in the future. Also remember, membership is FREE!

This year, we added Ashley Jackson, Manager, Member Services Operations at WIA, to the CWA Board. Ashley brings with her over 20 years of marketing, advertising and management experience.

Have a great Spring and we look forward to seeing you in Pinehurst.
