‘Tis
the season for the wireless industry’s state wireless associations to gather
for networking, food, laughter and fun during annual holiday socials in their
respective states.
The New Jersey
Wireless Association kicked off the holiday celebration season with its
annual Holiday Social Nov. 20 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic
City. The event featured fun, food and live music from The Band Plan.
Members of the California
Wireless Association gathered at Fig & Olive in Newport Beach on Dec. 3
to celebrate the holiday season. Attendees brought unwrapped toys to donate to Toys for Tots.
The Maryland/DC Wireless
Association hosted its 2019 Holiday Party Dec. 4 at the Guinness Open Gate
Brewery & Barrel House in Halethorpe. Members of the U.S. Marine Corps were
on hand to collect donated toys for Toys
for Tots.
Carolinas
Wireless Association members celebrated the season Dec. 5 at Angus Barn in
Raleigh. Attendees of the CWA Holiday Social brought toys and donations for the
association’s charity partner, Toys for
Tots.
The New York State Wireless
Association gathered Dec. 12 at the Ukrainian Institute of America in New
York City for its Annual Holiday Social featuring The Band Plan. Proceeds of
the event benefitted Warriors 4
Wireless.
The Virginia
Wireless Association hosted its annual Holiday Social this week at Tang &
Biscuit in Richmond, Virginia. The event benefitted Mason’s Toy Box, a Charlottesville-based
nonprofit that offers support to children engaged in medical life-altering
struggles and their families through gifts for hospitalized children, financial
support for families and funding for pediatric medical research.
Coming up in January, the New England Wireless Association will
host its Holiday Networking Mixer on Jan. 9 at Hampshire House in Boston.
WIA’s State Wireless Association Program (SWAP) promotes the wireless industry and raises technology awareness at the state and local level. Individual associations are created under the SWAP umbrella to develop a local presence for the wireless industry within the community.
